I spent the evening hanging out with one of my oldest friends. We’re both teachers, so we have the shared experience of the classroom. But beyond that common denominator, there are few people who inspire me as much as he does. It’s so exciting to be around someone who believes in the transformative potential of teaching as much as I do. In teaching we find a way not only to help students and touch their lives, but we find the potential for change in the world.
